Pilot fell into water while boarding container ship BLUE OCEAN in the morning Feb 21 in Taichung port, Taiwan, to take the ship to berth on arrival from Shanghai.
He was recovered unconscious in about 40 minutes after the fall and taken to hospital, but unfortunately, died. He was 58-year old, with 8 years pilot experience.
The ship left Taichung on Feb 22, bound for Shanghai.
He fell while climbing. Weather was rough, that's why, it is believed, it took 40 min to pick him up.
